Finally a veterinarian practice in London with brilliant vets and support staff, super knowledgeable, super friendly, kind and professional. We moved to them at a stage when our dog needed a big operation. The information pre and post surgery was clear, the aftercare second to none and genuine. A great environment, modern, stylish and stress free, full of smiles and a team that clearly love their work and each other. I only wish we'd moved to this practice years ago.

i had one of the best experiences today with an emergency vet visit after my kittens sister had scratched his eye; i wasn’t sure if there would be an availability for such short notice but i had called up and got impeccable service from anna and emma! anna kept everything so positive and friendly while we waited (in a separate cat waiting area!!) to be seen, she even wrote down my cats name in his arabic spelling (zeytoon!) for me which was the sweetest little touch, and even got the chance to play with him while we waited. she was incredibly personable to everyone who had come in, too, she knew each person by name and recalled them before they even got inside! even after my cats appointment, where emma had given him amazing care (but we’ll get into that in a second) she had helped me schedule in his sister for her microchip appointment, spoke to me in a way that didn’t feel like i was in a veterinary clinic, it just felt like i had made a friend during such a stressful moment. i can’t recommend coming in for a chat more, even if you don’t have a pet! in terms of emma, i seriously am in love with her, you can really see the love she has for cats and how much experience she has; she was incredibly patient with my cat as it was his first visit, she gave him treats, and spoke to him so sweetly! even when it came down to microchipping him and checking his eyes she was so incredibly gentle, after his appointment with her he had actually fallen asleep from how at ease he was with her! emma also gave me so much peace of mind when it came down to checking his eye, she spoke to me throughout every single detail of the appointment also i was in the loop between it all! seriously, i can not recommend these girls enough! thank you so much!

My cat, Qiu Qiu, underwent two dental procedures at this practice, both performed by Laura. Following the second surgery, he experienced persistent oral discomfort, required pain medication to eat, and suffered severe weight loss. At his 22-day post-op check, his surgical sites were still open and inflamed. When a third surgery was suggested, I lost confidence and requested a referral to a specialist hospital for further treatment. Qiu Qiu had chronic kidney disease, and the prolonged period of poor eating severely impacted his health, leading to further complications and hospitalisation. Sadly, Qiu Qiu has now passed away. Based on my experience with Laura and this practice, I cannot recommend them. UPDATE - Response to Owner's Reply I strongly disagree with the account of events presented in your response and reject your characterisation of what followed. Oversimplifying the situation to Qiu Qiu merely "not eating well," followed by an offer of further investigations which I supposedly declined, completely omits the critical clinical events, ongoing pain, and complications that occurred during this period. These matters are clearly documented in your own clinical records, written correspondence, and subsequent specialist reports. As Qiu Qiu’s owner, having witnessed firsthand everything he went through both during and after his treatment, reading your response is deeply upsetting and disappointing. I have submitted the complete medical records, radiographs, and independent specialist findings to the RCVS for an objective review. We will await the formal outcome of their assessment.

I saw Emma yesterday with our new kitten. She was very helpful and his injection was painless. Always very happy with The Urban Vet.

The entire team at this practice demonstrates exceptional kindness, compassion, and professionalism. I particularly appreciate their holistic approach to pet health, taking the time to consider overall wellbeing rather than just treating isolated issues. It’s clear they genuinely care about both the animals and their owners. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone seeking thoughtful, high-quality veterinary care.

i brought my ageing cat Neko to this vets. The vet gave me some options about her care, but the kindest one was for them to put her to sleep. she left me with her to say goodbye and then came to take her away. Less than a week later i received a lovely card with Neko’s paw prints. Thank you very much for making the experience so much easier.

Urban Vet is a really incredible local independent vets. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for genuine care. They've helped with a few different concerns we've had with our puppy - and I've never felt as though they've tried to rip me off! They've offered helpful advice on time-sensitive matters over the phone and email as part of their care, and ensured we only go in when required. If you're looking for an independent vets - this is a must!
