Medivet Southfields

I have no qualms over the services they provide are will always put the considerations of the pet first, but I have serious considerations over their practices to overtreat and overprescribe. I would always price compare because Medivet's margins seem very high compared to independent vets

I honestly don’t have enough words to express how thankful I am for the incredible team at Medivet-Southfields. We went through one of the most difficult experiences with our dog, and thanks to the skill, dedication, and compassion of Dr. Rui Laurenco and his amazing staff, she is not only still with us — she’s walking on all four legs again. Their care during that critical time was nothing short of life-saving. They never gave up on her, and it’s clear they treat every animal with the same love and attention they’d give their own. I truly believe that without them, she wouldn’t be here today. Even now, during her routine check-ups and vaccinations, they continue to be just as attentive, kind, and thorough. It’s such a comfort to know she’s in good hands, whether it’s an emergency or just a wellness visit. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you've done — and continue to do — for our girl. We’re so lucky to have you as our vet!

Our Senior dog Alfie has being a patient at Medivet-Southfields for the past 10 years and we couldn’t be happier. Rui and the rest of the team are fantastic, with them you know your furry friends are in the best hands, they always go the extra mile, we’re so grateful to Southfields and every staff-member, your work is highly appreciated. Hamish our labrador was a very reluctant patient - it took two vets to push him into the consulting room! The staff were both efficient and friendly; the one problem was having to wait 45 minutes after the time of our appointment to be seen.

I love our vets, the team have always been so friendly and gentle with pets, even our very grumpy and anxious old cat. I will forever be grateful for the speed with which they were able to help him find comfort in his final minutes. Now, they are just as kind and warm with our puppy. I happy put my trust in them all.

We have been with MediVet Southfields since March 2012 and to say they are exceptional is an understatement. The care and time they have taken to look after our two Polish Lowland Sheepdogs is wonderful. Sadly we had to say goodbye to our youngest two days before her 10th birthday in June 2024. Rui and Andrea are beyond special with their compassion and thoughtfulness and we cannot thank them enough for everything they have done, both for Zosia who adored them and for us at a really sad time. The care and kindness they have given to us and still do as we navigate things in a much quieter house with just our older and now blind dog who also loves Rui and Andrea and pulls us into the vets when we walk past (somehow she always knows exactly where we are so she can have a fuss from the team) is amazing. The fact that there is a whole network of practices and vet hospitals within the group has been really helpful over the years with our dogs when we have needed a vet when not in our local area. The specialist expertise too within the company (orthopaedics, cancer etc) is second to none. Our dogs have regularly travelled extensively throughout Europe all their lives and no vets (which we have to see for the passport to be stamped - luckily we have a EU pet passports so are not stuck with having to use the extremely expensive, administratively bureaucratic, short time-limited thing the UK now has after Brexit) have gone anywhere near the mark that Rui and his team at MediVet Southfields have.
